Things have changed around here in the past 3-4 years. It's so much harder to get interaction, to get your work seen, than back in '02, '03, '04. It's like it's all about the superstar deviants now, rather than the community. The favorites and popularity system has gotten a little out of hand, and the front page defaulting to popular just makes it worse. It's too bad, really. I still love it here, it's just a little annoying to see trends (like, maybe, ultra wide angle, long exposure, hdr architecture shots) trump all other talent and interesting work going on. For those interested, I started a Flickr account where I'll put a higher volume of photography up. We'll see how long that lasts. [link] In terms of real life, I just finished an intense summer class, and I'm going back next week. 3 more semesters and I have a Masters of Architecture. I think I might move to NYC. Thoughts?
