This is my fancy new desk. It took over a year to design and build but it came out good. It weighs 260lbs, but it comes apart for moving. Nice and solid. The double-tee shape of lighter wood is laminated strips of 3/4" hardwood ply, with thin strips of birch on the front and back. The drawers are 1/2" plywood with birch fronts and structural bits. Steel and aluminum hardware throughout.
